While our workplace has changed dramatically in the last 60 years, the FLSA has not. The second biggest FLSA problem relates to payment of overtime or miscalculation of overtime. For instance, not paying a nonexempt employee for time spent doing work at home (checking a blackberry), interrupted meal breaks, or for travel time. This topic - calculation of overtime - will be discussed during next week's forum.
