My question is can you put the "owner" on payroll ?? The member of the LLC cannot be, can a single 100 % owner of an S Corp be on a reg payroll ??
Yep. One of my clients is an S-corp and the owner is on the standard payroll schedule, including tax deductions, etc, because he is also an employee. This also means that if the business were to go under he would be eligible for unemployment since he is an employee and the company pays unemployment taxes for ALL employees..
